March 20, 2025: Newark, AR 72562 The Izard County Cougars the host Cedar Ridge Timberwolves softball squad by a count of 5-3 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Cougars play the Tuckerman Bulldogs (Tuckerman, AR) in a 2A Region 2 challenge, on Monday, March 31. Izard County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Brookland (Brookland, AR).
The Timberwolves (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, East Poinsett County edged Rector (Rector, AR), 15-0, in a league challenge.
