March 20, 2025: Kaplan, LA 70548 Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA), 14-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Kaplan upgrades its record to 18-1 on the year. The Pirates host New Iberia (New Iberia, LA) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Monday, March 24. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a record of 3-11. New Iberia lost 15-1 in their recent non-league game against Notre Dame (Crowley, LA)
The Eagles now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Thibodaux for a non-league game on Monday, March 24. Central Catholic will play a Tigers squad coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 11-6.
