California High School Softball - Aptos Prospect
Aptos Mariners (Aptos, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Prospect Panthers (Saratoga, CA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Mariners now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harbor for a Santa Cruz Coast challenge on Tuesday, March 24. Aptos will face a Pirates squad coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Pajaro Valley (Watsonville, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 1-10.
With the loss, Prospect falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to King City (King City, CA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 21. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. King City lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against North Salinas (Salinas, CA)
