Maryland High School Baseball - Archbishop Spalding gets by Huntingtown
March 21, 2023: Severn, MD 21144 Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD), 10-7 in a non-league test.
With the win, Archbishop Spalding upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to St. Mary's (Annapolis, MD) to battle the Saints in a MIAA A test on Monday, April 3. The Saints come into the test with a record of 1-0. St. Mary's won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD)
With the defeat, Huntingtown falls to 0-1 on the season. The Hurricanes host Westlake (Waldorf, MD) to play the Wolverines in a Southern Maryland battle on Wednesday, March 22. The Wolverines enter the battle with a record of 0-1. Westlake lost 16-2 in their recent league battle against Chopticon (Morganza, MD)
