March 21, 2023: Wilmington, NC 28405 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC), by a margin of 21-2.
With the triumph, Laney moves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Thursday, March 23. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 0-3. Dixon 7-7 in their recent non-league contest against Havelock (Havelock, NC)
In their next game, the Trojans play the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 24. West Brunswick will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Richlands (Richlands, NC).
