Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS), 11-6 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Sumrall for a 4A Region 7 challenge on Thursday, March 23.

With the loss, Forrest County Agricultural falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Aggies host Sumrall (Sumrall, MS) to battle the Bobcats in a 4A Region 7 challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 9-3.
