In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) baseball squad triumphed over the host Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA), by a final score of 10-3.

With the win, Lunenburg Central upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Chargers host Buckingham (Buckingham, VA) to battle the Knights in a James River challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Buckingham won 9-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA)

With the defeat, Mecklenburg County falls to 0-4 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA) to battle the Cavaliers in a Seminole challenge on Friday, March 22.
