Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) and the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), saw South Mecklenburg's baseball squad knock off Palisades by a count of 7-4.

Coming up next, the Sabres play the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 26. South Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 14-0 non-league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).
