The Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) softball routed the host DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS), 10-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Tigers (14-4) will now prepare for their bout against Southaven (Southaven, MS). The Chargers go into the 7A Region 1 bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Southaven was routed by Oxford (Oxford, MS), 14-6, in a league challenge.

With the loss, DeSoto Central falls to 13-3 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS) to face the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 23. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 14-0. Northwest Rankin won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Pearl (Pearl, MS)
