In Friday's non-league game, the host Johnson Jaguars baseball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Taft Raiders.

The Jaguars (13-4) will now prepare for their game against Clemens (Schertz, TX). The Buffaloes go into the 6A Region IV District 29 game with a 16-3 record. In their last game, Clemens nudged Canyon (New Braunfels, TX), 7-0, in a league game.

Next, the Raiders play the Alamo Heights Mules (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 22. Taft will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Mules go into the game with a 4-10 record after their 12-2 league loss to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX).
