In Friday's non-league test, the Heritage Mountaineers (Maryville, TN) softball squad got by the visiting Knoxville Central Bobcats (Knoxville, TN), by a tally of 7-6.

Next, the Mountaineers meet the Lenoir City Panthers (Lenoir City, TN) in a 3A District 5 test, on Tuesday, March 25. Heritage will attempt to advance on its 8-3 season record.

The Bobcats (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Grainger (Rutledge, TN). The Grizzlies go into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Grainger held off Greeneville (Greeneville, TN), 18-11, in a league test.
