March 21, 2026: Vanceburg, KY 41179 The Lewis County Lions softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Belfry Pirates to 5 in the Lions non-league win on Saturday.
The Lions now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boyd County for a non-league battle on Monday, March 23. Lewis County will confront a Lions team coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY). The Lions record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Belfry moves to 5-1 on the season. The Pirates host Phelps (Phelps, KY) to confront the Hornets in a District 60 battle on Monday, March 23. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 0-0.
