In Saturday's non-league match, the host St. Joseph Central Irish softball squad scored a close 12-9 triumph over the Calhoun Red Devils.

With the triumph, St. Joseph Central upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Irish host Man (Man, WV) to play the Hillbillies in a non-league game on Saturday, March 21. The Hillbillies enter the game with a record of 0-0.

The Red Devils now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wahama for a Little Kanawha game on Monday, March 23. Calhoun will play a White Falcons team coming off a 18-1 league win over Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The White Falcons record now stands at 3-1.
