The Thornton Wildcats softball squad (Harvey, IL), was routed 23-4 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL)

With the triumph, Proviso East improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pirates host Prosser (Chicago, IL) to face the Falcons in a non-league contest on Friday, March 27. The Falcons enter the contest with a record of 0-0.

The Wildcats now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Blue Island Eisenhower for a non-league contest on Monday, March 23. Thornton will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Richards (Oak Lawn, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-1.
