Maryland High School Softball - Archbishop Spalding holds off Northern
March 22, 2022: Severn, MD 21144 Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Cavaliers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Broadneck for a Anne Arundel County challenge on Friday, March 25. Archbishop Spalding will battle a Bruins squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Annapolis (Annapolis, MD). The Bruins record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Northern falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to battle the Hurricanes in a Southern Maryland challenge on Friday, March 25. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Huntingtown lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD)
