March 22, 2024: Lubbock, TX 79401 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) and the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), saw Lubbock's baseball squad knock off Big Spring by a count of 10-7.
Coming up next, the Westerners play the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 battle, on Tuesday, March 26. Lubbock will attempt to move on its 6-17 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 9-12 record after their 3-2 league win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX).
The Steers now possess a 13-21 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sweetwater for a 4A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, March 26. Big Spring will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Hamilton (Hamilton, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-14.
