March 22, 2024: Ponder, TX 76259 The Callisburg Wildcats baseball team (Gainesville, TX), was overwhelmed 6-2 in Friday's league outing with the host Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX)
The Lions now hold a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glen Rose for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 23. Ponder will confront a Tigers team coming off a 5-2 league loss to Brownwood (Brownwood, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 11-10.
Next, the Wildcats confront the Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX) in a 3A Region II District 10 outing, on Tuesday, March 26. Callisburg will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Bearcats go into the outing with a 8-16 record after their 10-0 league win over S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX).
