Ritchie County Rebels (Ellenboro, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Doddridge County for a Little Kanawha challenge on Monday, March 25. Ritchie County will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-5 non-league win over Clay County (Clay, WV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Lewis County (Weston, WV) to battle the Minutemen in a Big Ten challenge on Monday, March 25. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Lewis County won 16-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Braxton County (Sutton, WV)
