The Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) baseball trounced the host Broughton Capitals (Raleigh, NC), 10-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Screaming Eagle now own a 10-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hoggard for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 25. Ashley will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 6-4 league loss to Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 5-6.

With the defeat, Broughton drops to 6-5 on the year. The Capitals travel to Sanderson (Raleigh, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a Cap Six 4A challenge on Monday, March 24. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 2-8. Sanderson lost 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC)
