March 22, 2025: West Memphis, AR 72301

The Independence Wildcats baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host West Memphis Christian Black Knights to 1 in the Wildcats non-league win on Saturday.

The Wildcats now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coahoma County for a 3A Region 2 test on Tuesday, March 25. Independence will play a Red Panthers team coming off a 10-7 league loss to Rosa Fort (Tunica, MS). The Red Panthers record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, West Memphis Christian drops to 9-7 on the year. The Black knights travel to DeSoto (West Helena, AR) to play the Thunderbirds in a test on Monday, March 24. The Thunderbirds go into the test with a record of 0-3. DeSoto lost 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR)
