March 22, 2025: Opelousas, LA 70525 The Opelousas Tigers (Opelousas, LA) baseball trounced the visiting LaGrange Gators (Lake Charles, LA), 17-7 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Breaux Bridge for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 25. Opelousas will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 13-7.
With the defeat, LaGrange drops to 3-15 on the year. The Gators travel to DeRidder (DeRidder, LA) to clash with the Dragons in a 4A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 25. The Dragons go into the challenge with a record of 10-14. DeRidder won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Merryville (Merryville, LA)
