March 22, 2025: Poplar Grove, IL 61065 The North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) baseball trounced the visiting New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL), 10-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Belvidere for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 24. North Boone will clash with a Bucs team coming off a 25-1 non-league loss to Hampshire (Hampshire, IL). The Bucs record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly drops to 1-1 on the year. The Vipers travel to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 22. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
