In Saturday's non-league match, the host Bismarck Lions softball team scored a tight 9-4 win over the Poyen Indians.

The Lions (6-5) will now prepare for their match against Smackover (Smackover, AR). The Buckaroos come into the 3A Region 7 match with a 5-1 record.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR) in a 2A Region 8 match, on Tuesday, April 1. Poyen will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record.
