The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA) and the host Hanover Area Hawkeyes (Hanover Township, PA), observed Lakeland's softball team notch a victory over Hanover Area by a final score of 15-7.

The Chiefs (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA). The Chargers go into the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Carbondale Area was routed by Dunmore (Dunmore, PA), 5-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hawkeyes battle the Lake-Lehman Knights (Lehman, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 4 bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Hanover Area will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Loyalsock Township (Williamsport, PA).
