The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS) and the host West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS), observed Purvis's softball team get by West Harrison by a tally of 3-1.

The Tornadoes (12-5) will now prepare for their outing against Sumrall (Sumrall, MS). The Bobcats come into the 4A Region 7 outing with a 15-4 record. In their last outing, Sumrall got by Poplarville (Poplarville, MS), 8-4, in a non-league outing.

With the loss, West Harrison moves to 5-12 on the season. The Hurricanes host George County (Lucedale, MS) to encounter the Rebels in a 6A Region 4 outing on Tuesday, March 25.
