North Carolina High School Softball - Cox Mill nudges A.L. Brown
March 23, 2021: Concord, NC 28027 Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.
The Chargers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jay M. Robinson for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Thursday, March 25. Cox Mill will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-5 league win over Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, A.L. Brown falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wonders travel to West Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to face the Wolverines in a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Thursday, March 25. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. West Cabarrus lost 10-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)
