The Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) softball routed the visiting DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS), 7-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Tigers (17-1) will now prepare for their bout against South Panola (Batesville, MS). The Tigers go into the 6A Region 2 bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, South Panola was routed by Grenada (Grenada, MS), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

The Jaguars now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Brandon for a non-league bout on Friday, March 26. DeSoto Central will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Pearl (Pearl, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-2.
