March 23, 2023: Rutherfordton, NC 28139 The Chesnee Eagles nudged the host R-S Central Hilltoppers baseball team by a tally of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Eagles now hold a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodruff for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 25. Chesnee will face a Wolverines team coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Broome (Spartanburg, SC). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-2.
Next, the Hilltoppers face the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 24. R-S Central will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC).
