Virginia High School Softball - Yorktown holds off Washington-Liberty
March 23, 2023: Arlington, VA 22207 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) and the visiting Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), witnessed Yorktown's softball squad tip Washington-Liberty by a count of 9-7.
The Patriots now sport a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Langley for a match on Tuesday, March 28.
With the loss, Washington-Liberty moves to 3-1 on the season. The Generals travel to McLean (McLean, VA) to face the Highlanders in a non-league match on Monday, March 27. The Highlanders go into the match with a record of 1-0. McLean won 4-3 in their recent non-league match against South Lakes (Reston, VA)
