The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) and the visiting Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), saw Marvin Ridge's softball squad achieve victory over Ardrey Kell by a count of 16-3.

The Mavericks now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Sun Valley for a Southern Carolina 4A match on Friday, March 24. Marvin Ridge will face a Spartans squad coming off a 18-1 non-league win over East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-2.
