Independence Tigers (Independence, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Tara Trojans (Baton Rouge, LA), 15-5 in a non-league outing.

The Tigers now hold a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Northlake Christian for a 2A District 7 outing on Monday, March 25. Independence will face a Wolverines team coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to De La Salle (New Orleans, LA). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-13.
