March 24, 2023: Hiawassee, GA 30546 In Friday's league challenge, the Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Lincoln County Red Devils (Lincolnton, GA), by a final score of 14-6.
With the win, Towns County upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Indians host Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA) to encounter the Titans in a 1A D-II Area 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Lake Oconee Academy won 17-7 in their recent league challenge against Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA)
With the defeat, Lincoln County falls to 13-7 on the season. The Red devils host Aquinas (Augusta, GA) to encounter the Fightin' Irish in a 1A D-II Area 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Fightin' Irish come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Aquinas won 20-6 in their recent league challenge against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics (Hephzibah, GA)
