The Rio Grande City Rattlers the host Nixon Mustangs baseball team by a count of 7-2 in Friday's league bout.

The Rattlers now possess a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Juarez-Lincoln for a 5A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, March 28. Rio Grande City will face a Huskies team coming off a 2-0 league win over Roma (Roma, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 5-8.

Next, the Mustangs face the Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout, on Tuesday, March 28. Nixon will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Gladiators enter the bout with a 12-7 record after their 2-0 league loss to Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX).
