Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors confront the Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) in a 3A Area 8 challenge, on Tuesday, March 28. Oconee County will attempt to better on its 12-1 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 2-1 league win over Monroe Area (Monroe, GA).

The Spartans now have a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they host Fellowship Christian for a 2A Area 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Athens Academy will confront a Paladins team coming off a 6-3 league win over Union County (Blairsville, GA). The Paladins record now stands at 8-3.
