Pennsylvania High School Softball - Saucon Valley nudges Notre Dame-Green Pond

Saucon Valley Panthers (Hellertown, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders (Easton, PA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Catasauqua for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 25. Saucon Valley will face a Rough Riders squad coming off a 10-8 league loss to Palmerton (Palmerton, PA). The Rough Riders record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Notre Dame-Green Pond falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Bangor (Bangor, PA) to face the Slaters in a Colonial - East challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Slaters enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Bangor won 9-7 in their recent league challenge against Wilson Area (Easton, PA)
