The Chaparral Firebirds baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Centennial Coyotes to 3 in the Firebirds non-league win on Monday.

The Firebirds now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host McClintock for a non-league test on Thursday, March 27. Chaparral will play a Chargers team coming off a 20-6 non-league loss to Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ). The Chargers record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Centennial drops to 2-3 on the year. The Coyotes travel to Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ) to play the Knights in a test on Tuesday, March 25. The Knights go into the test with a record of 6-1. Lake Havasu won 16-3 in their recent non-league test against Mohave (Bullhead City, AZ)
