In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Pine Lake Prep Pride baseball team scored a close 8-5 win over the Union Academy Cardinals.

The Pride (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 8-1 record. In their last game, Lincoln Charter nudged Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC), 9-2, in a non-league game.
