South Carolina High School Soccer - Sumter knocks off Providence
March 25, 2021: Lexington, SC 29073 Sumter Fighting Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Providence Panthers (Lexington, SC), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Fighting Gamecocks confront the Carolina Forest Panthers (Myrtle Beach, SC) in a AAAAA Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, March 30. Sumter will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 7-0 league win over Conway (Conway, SC).
The Panthers now have a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southside Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 26. Providence will confront a Sabres team coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Berea (Greenville, SC). The Sabres record now stands at 3-1.
