Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC), 17-3 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Chase for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Polk County will face a Trojans squad coming off a 11-4 league loss to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Hendersonville falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to face the Falcons in a Mountain Seven 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 4-1.
