The Anson Bearcats baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves to 1 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Monday.

The Bearcats (3-7) will now prepare for their match against Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 3-0 record.

The Timberwolves (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Panthers go into the Mid-Piedmont 3A match with a 7-1 record. In their last match, Ledford edged Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 11-10, in a league match.
