Virginia High School Soccer - Smithfield knocks off Lakeland
March 25, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434 Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Packers confront the Bruton Panthers (Williamsburg, VA) in a Eastern Shore challenge, on Wednesday, April 10. Smithfield will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Nottoway (Nottoway, VA).
The Cavaliers now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Norcom for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. Lakeland will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Churchland (Portsmouth, VA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 3-2.
