Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the River Valley Vikings (Caledonia, OH) and the visiting North Union Wildcats (Richwood, OH), witnessed River Valley's softball squad tip North Union by a count of 3-1.

The Vikings now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Ontario for a Mid Ohio Athletic match on Wednesday, March 27. River Valley will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Madison Comprehensive (Mansfield, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, North Union moves to 0-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to London (London, OH) to meet the Red Raiders in a Central Buckeye - Kenton Trail match on Thursday, March 28.
