Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), 16-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Southern Guilford improves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Storm host Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC) to play the Cougars in a Mid-State 3A game on Friday, March 28. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 8-1. Rockingham County won 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Morehead (Eden, NC)

The Bison now hold a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Trinity for a non-league game on Wednesday, March 26. High Point Central will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-0 league loss to Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-7.
