The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS) and the visiting Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS), observed Ripley's softball team notch a victory over Shannon by a final score of 15-0.

The Tigers (8-12) will now prepare for their bout against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS). The Braves go into the 4A Region 1 bout with a 14-4 record. In their last bout, Tishomingo County was routed by Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS), 10-0, in a league bout.

Next, the Red Raiders clash with the New Site Royals (New Site, MS) in a non-league test, on Thursday, March 27. Shannon will attempt to advance on its 4-11 season record. The Royals go into the test with a 3-11 record after their 17-7 non-league loss to Wheeler (Wheeler, MS).
