Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ) and the visiting Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ), saw Saguaro's baseball squad edge Mesquite by a count of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Sabercats play the American Leadership Academy Patriots (Queen Creek, AZ) in a 4A Desert Sky battle, on Tuesday, March 30. Saguaro will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 12-5 league loss to Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ).

The Wildcats now possess a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Seton Catholic for a 4A Desert Sky battle on Tuesday, March 30. Mesquite will play a Sentinels squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ). The Sentinels record now stands at 2-3.
