Illinois High School Baseball - Edwardsville wallops Vianney
March 26, 2022: Edwardsville, IL 62025 Edwardsville Tigers (Edwardsville, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Vianney Golden Griffins (Kirkwood, MO), 10-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Edwardsville upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Tigers host Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to battle the Cyclones in a non-league test on Monday, March 28. The Cyclones come into the test with a record of 6-2. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 16-0 in their recent league test against Lanphier (Springfield, IL)
With the defeat, Vianney falls to 1-1 on the season. The Golden griffins travel to Jackson (Jackson, MO) to battle the Fighting Indians in a Class 6 District 1 test on Saturday, April 2. The Fighting Indians come into the test with a record of 3-0.
