In Wednesday's non-league test, the Kempsville Chiefs (Virginia Beach, VA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Ocean Lakes Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA), by a tally of 12-1.

Next, the Chiefs meet the Manor Mustangs (Portsmouth, VA) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 31. Kempsville will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA).
