The Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) softball nipped the host Ballard Bruins (Louisville, KY), 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Generals now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lexington Catholic for a District 43 outing on Friday, March 28. Lafayette will encounter a Knights team coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Ballard (Louisville, KY). The Knights record now stands at 3-4.
