Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Foresthill Wildfires (Foresthill, CA), 21-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Placer upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Hillmen host Bear River (Grass Valley, CA) to play the Bruins in a non-league game on Thursday, March 27. The Bruins enter the game with a record of 5-2. Bear River won 15-0 in their recent league game against Marysville (Marysville, CA)

The Wildfires now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Encina for a Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League game on Thursday, March 27. Foresthill will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 24-3 league loss to Buckingham Charter (Vacaville, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.
