Virginia High School Softball - Hickory bounces Nansemond-Suffolk Academy
March 26, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23322 The Hickory Hawks softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints to 0 in the Hawks non-league win on Wednesday.
The Hawks now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Indian River for a Southeastern battle on Thursday, March 27. Hickory will confront a Braves team coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Norcom (Portsmouth, VA). The Braves record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy moves to 4-4 on the season. The Saints host Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA) to confront the Ambassadors in a Tidewater Independent battle on Wednesday, April 2. The Ambassadors come into the battle with a record of 2-6. Norfolk Christian lost 17-1 in their recent non-league battle against Broadwater Academy (Exmore, VA)
